Massage Therapy

Will my insurance cover massage therapy?

Most insurance companies do not pay for massage therapy.  The ones that do, typically only pay if it is performed by a licensed physical therapist.  Since our massage therapist is not a licensed physical therapist, we do not bill insurance for massage therapy.  However, upon completion and payment of service, we can give you a detailed receipt for you to submit to your insurance company, if you choose to file with with them for reimbursement.

Do I need to make an appointment for massage?

Yes. Please call Sports and Spine Rehabilitation at (972) 985-2622 and we will be happy to schedule you.  For your first massage, please try to arrive 10 minutes early to complete a brief form so our massage therapist can best assess your individual needs.  There is a $30 charge for missed appointments and cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance.
