Massage

Acupressure is an ancient healing art, using fingers to gradually press key healing points, which stimulate the body’s natural, self curative abilities. It increases the immune system, making it effective in the relief of stress related ailments and ideal for self treatment and preventative health care.  The goal of acupressure is to restore health and balance to the body’s channels of energy and to regulate opposing forces of Yin and Yang.  It does not just treat the body, but the mind, emotions and spirit.

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deepest layers of muscles and connective tissue.  It is used to relax chronic muscle tension areas such as the neck, back, legs, and shoulders and can also help improve range of motion.

Swedish/Relaxation Massage uses different strokes to help decrease the level of the stress hormone, Cortisol.  It also increases the movement of lymphocytes toward the lymph nodes and oxygen to the blood flowing throughout the body.  This helps decrease feelings of stress, tension, anxiety and neuropathic pain.

Sports Massage focuses on the health of the muscle and connective tissue.  It is ideal in relieving injuries before and after sporting events as well as being a preventative treatment.  It can improve range of motion, muscle tone, symmetry, balance and posture.

Hot Stone Massage expands blood vessels, encouraging blood flow throughout the body.  It provides a healing and sedative effect, reducing stress and promoting deep relaxation while also providing relief from chronic pain.

Aromatherapy is massage combined with essential oils providing both physical and mental revitalization.  It helps alleviate pain and discomfort, promotes the relaxation of tired and stressed muscles, improves blood and lymph circulation, helps control blood pressure and decreases feelings of stress and anxiety.

Reflexology/Foot Massage is the stimulation of nerve function. Reflexology increases energy, boosts circulation, eliminates toxins and induces a deep state of relaxation.  It can also prevent migraines and speed up the recovery process after injury or surgery.
